Chess Sites for Improvement Ok, here goes.

Go to www.chessopolis.com/

Click on World Famous Chess Links Directory

Click on Archives / Game Collections

Click on G. Ossimitz Chess Page

This page is definately one of the best on the web as far as chess training. Look around and check out the games of the books. You need to download Chessbase Light but it is an excellent training tool and also free.

Then go back and click on Tutorials / Lessons

Click on Exeter Chess Club Coaching Page

Click on the Canon link for Chessbase 6.0 and download it. This canon has 847 games and are listed by tactical motifs, opening traps, strategy, endgame, sacrifices, and much more.

And there are other pages and downloads which may or may not be of interest to you.

I hope this helps.

Learning the basics of chess and more... Hi there

I have found www.chesscorner.com to be a great site- if you look in particular at the learn section, there are plenty of tutorials, and everything is written in a very enthusiastic, encouraging way

Best wishes
