Conversion of Chessbase database to .PGN file? Is it possible to convert a Chessbase Database (*.cba, etc..) to a .PGN file? If so, what program should I use to do this? Thanks.

conversion i use chessbase Light (the downloadable one from chessbase.com) and it's not able
to export it as PGN. but i know people are doing it with higher versions. so higher versions of chessbase is the answer.

I believe that Scid will do it too. Im pretty sure that you can export the .pgn file to the clipboard, then past from there.

Here's the link: scid.sourceforge.net/

Should be possible with ChessBase Light If i remember correctly it can be done even with CB Light, and the procedure is the same than in CB 8:

1) Create an empty file "somename.pgn" somewhere
2) Open it with CB Light
3) Open the CBH that you want to export
4) In CBLight database list, drag the icon of the CBH over the icon of the PGN
5) A copy game dialog should appear, press OK and you're done!

Excellent, thanks larsenb, that worked perfectly. Thanks to the others for their advice also.
